Yes, it is weird.. it would be great if we have the insight's pics as well.. we will know how freaky it can goes..

I'm Singaporean so i know.
Sadly(?), the place has simmered down on its freaky images and sculptures since early 21st century. There used to be a water ride which went through this dark tunnel, and in the tunnel was all these sculptures of, what the Chinese religions believe to be, the '18 Stages of Hell'.
You see some of those depicted here in the photos. Just look for the ones on torture or gore, that's it.
Basically it's centered on the most common Chinese religions here in my country, them being Buddhism and Taoism. I won't know much, I'm a Christian. Haha.
I visited that place almost twice a year when I was young. And let me tell you, it gave me nightmares. Much.
